Dale Blackmore

Principal Solicitor
Dale Blackmore is a Principal Solicitor in Hall Payne Lawyers’ Employment and Industrial Relations team, based in the firm’s Brisbane office.

Dale’s practice is closely connected to the union movement, with extensive experience representing unions, union officials, and not-for-profit organisations in complex industrial and regulatory matters. He advises organisational clients on governance and regulatory compliance, conducts governing rules reviews, and drafts and negotiates complex agreements.

Dale regularly appears in industrial litigation and regulatory proceedings before the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Court of Australia, and other regulatory bodies. In recent years, he has successfully defended a union official accused of breaching officers’ duties and successfully appealed a Fair Work Commission decision suspending industrial action. He has also acted in appeals before the Federal Court of Australia and in matters involving regulatory inquiries and investigations.

In addition to his organisational practice, Dale represents individuals in industrial disputes, unfair dismissal, defamation, disciplinary proceedings, and professional registration matters. Dale has been recognised and recommended in Doyle’s Guide in recent years for his work in employment and workplace relations law.
