He holds a Bachelor of Arts with majors in Philosophy and Socio-legal Studies and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney.
Ben commenced employment with Hall Payne Lawyers in 2022, working first as a research clerk then law graduate. He then worked at the Federal Court of Australia as an Associate to the Hon. Justice E Raper before returning to the firm as a solicitor.
Ben’s main legal interests are in labour and public law.
“Labour laws govern our working conditions; they protect our personal and occupational interests by imposing a series of obligations we owe each other in the course of our working lives. Work can form part of how we understand ourselves and how we identify ourselves to others. In this way, compliance with workplace law is important for our wellbeing and dignity.”
