Henry has a diverse and dedicated legal career, spanning over 15 years’ experience. He began his career as a generalist solicitor in a community legal service, working across employment, administrative and criminal law. This experience strengthened his commitment to ensuring ordinary people can access legal support, especially when facing large organisations or government bodies.
A dedicated advocate for workers and unions, Henry has experience across employment law and personal compensation claims, combining strong legal expertise with a client‑focused approach. His experience includes acting in a number of significant matters in the Tasmanian Workers Compensation jurisdiction, as well as frequent appearances in Courts and Tribunals in both the Tasmanian and Federal jurisdictions.
Henry continues to work to improve access to justice in the community, he has served as Tasmanian President of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and as a director of the Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service. He has previously served at the Hobart Community Legal Service as former President, and a former member of the Law Society’s equal opportunity and employment committee.
